Order FAQ for Tailor-made Request

Some useful information about our service.  To faciliate the order process, you are strongly suggested to read the FAQs before submitting enquiry/order.  Further information regarding our wedding banquet services is at Wedding Services Page.
Some important notes:
 

  • Enquiry/order are handled through email to maintain a proper record for every customer.  Please submit enquiry/order through the enquiry form or email.  We do not handle enquiry through phone/Whatsapp/Facebook.

  • We will try out best to reply to you within 3 days.  Please be patient and do not repeatly submit.

  • Please advoid using Yahoo and Mysina mail box because sometimes the email cannot be sent successfully. 

  • You are encouraged to utilize the enquiry form.  Yet if you prefer to send us email, please make sure sufficient information is provided (at least the sweets you are interested in and tentative pick-up date) so that we can provide useful information in one go. 

  • Phoenix Sweets' works are not being sold by weight.  For cakes, the price mainly depends on the size (in diameter) and specific design requirement. 

04 Serving Portion and Size

Our fondant cake is made with English butter cake, much heavier than the sponge cake being sold in chain stores.  

 

For reference, the smallest size of our tailor-made cake is 6" (in diameter), weight around 3-4 lbs.  It can be served in small pieces (around 1"x1"x2") for around 16-20 pieces, perfect for enjoying with tea and coffee.

05 Can We Use Sponge Cake instead of Butter Cake?

No.  The light texture of sponge cake cannot support the weight of the fondant and decoration.

06 Discount for Mass Order?

Currently we do not offer mass discount because every piece of works is handmade with time and effort.  Nevertheless, we have some packages for events for your easy selection.  Please feel free to enquire.

01 Order Procedure

Confirm Order Details and Provide Quotation

We will reply within 3 days and provide quoation according to your requirement.

 

Confirmation of Order

Bank account number will be provided for processing payment.  Order will be confirmed after full payment has been received.

 

Pick up

Please arrange to pick up the sweets at our studio in Lai Chi Kok (we will relocate to another location in Central in the second quarter of 2018.  The last operating date of PMQ store is 22 April 2018).  The default pick up time is 12nn-6pm, please let us know asap if you need any special arrangement.

Delivery Service

We can engage van driver to provide delivery service.  The delivery charge will be quoted according to location and time, starting from $150.  Please note that you will have to pick up at the van.  If you wish the driver to park the van and deliver the cake to door, the driver will need to charge $150 extra. 

02 Order Lead Time

All works are handmade and is subject to availability.  We recommend customers to place order around 1-3 months in advance to have a better chance to reserve our schedule.

 

For orders that cannot be placed before the 1-3 months lead time, please consider our standard designs which takes around 1-2 weeks lead time.

03 Are the Cakes Need to be Fridged?

Our butter cream cake and fondant cake are supposed to be consumed at room temperature. They can be stored in indoor air-conditioned room overnight.

If you wish to store the butter cream cake or fondant cake in fridge, please store it in the cake box. Before consumption, please leave it (also inside the box) in indoor air-conditioned room for at least 1 hour.

07 Cake Flavours

We are using the finest natural ingredients such as Valrhona Chocolate, Fair Trade Earl Grey Tea Leaves made with our refined recipe.  Currently the following 4 signature flavours are offered, will work on further exciting selection:

 

  • Vanilla

    • Self-extracted Vanilla Sugar with Vanilla Bean and Madagascar Vanilla Extract.  Classic Natural Flavour.

  • Double Chocolate

    • Exquisite Dark Valrhona Chocolate Recipe for Chocolate Lovers.

  • Earl Grey

    • Phoenix Sweets' Renowned Earl Grey Tea Flavour made with Fair Trade Earl Grey Tea Leaves.

  • Honey Yuzu

    • Fresh Fruity Taste with Aroma and Little Pieces of Honey Citrus,

05 Restriction on Style and Intellectual Property Right

We would design our works according to customers' request.  However, in consideration of copyright restrictions and respect of others' intellectural property right, we do not make our works based on existing cartoon characters (such as Disney and Sanrio), Football Club Logo and Brand Logo unless official authorisation is obtained.

In consideration of style of works, we have stopped taking order of 3D figure.

06 Order Lead Time

All of our artisan sweets are handmade and we put in a lot of time and effort for each order.  Since order subject to availability and on first come first serve basis, please contact us around 1-3 months in advance to have a better chance to reserve our schedule.
